About Me

I have made Hamilton my home since 1987. Being in full-time private practice since 1991 follows mental health professional staff positions with the WCB (WSIB) hospital, Centennial College, Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, and Syl Apps Youth Centre. I have developed and implemented single session agency and country-wide staff training workshops for the Ministry of Correctional Services, Community and Social Services, Indigenous Services, Hamilton Catholic School Board, Parks Canada, Health Canada, and municipal police, fire, and paramedic services. An Honours B.A. in Psychology from York University (1980) and an M.Ed. in Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto (1982) was the platform from which I began providing psychotherapy and training.

I am regulated and approved for independent practice by the College of Registered Psychotherapists. As well, it is important to me as a professional to support the general standards of therapists working in the community. To this end, I have served in various volunteer capacities for the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals for 27 years. My duties have included serving as a member of the Ethics Committee, Board member, Certification and Professional Conduct Committees.
