About Me

I have made Hamilton my home since 1987. Being in full-time private practice since 1991 follows mental health professional staff positions with the WCB (WSIB) hospital, Centennial College, Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, and Syl Apps Youth Centre. I have developed and implemented province-wide staff training interventions for the Ministry of Correctional Services and Community and Social Services. An Honours B.A. in Psychology from York University (1980) and an M.Ed. in Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto (1982) was the platform from which I began my front-line work.

I am regulated and approved for independent practice by the College of Registered Psychotherapists. As well, it is important to me as a professional to support the general standards of therapists working in the community. To this end, I do professional work for the Ontario Association of Counsellors, Consultants, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP). My duties have included serving as a member of the Ethics Committee, Board member, Certification and currently, Professional Conduct Committee.
